Deactivate Firefox search in location bar

Using the Firefox search within a local network, Firefox uses the integrated search instead of trying to access the server in case it is not a full domain name. This is really annoying, especially when you try to access servername. Firefox tries to search for servername instead of trying whether there is a server with exactly that namke. But there is a solution for that.

At first enter about:config into the address bar. Then search for keyword.enabled. After that set the value to false. Every time you want to search, you have to jump into the search bar. Using the shortcut Ctrl+K enables you to jump to there without having to use your mouse. There you can search for your term.

But be careful! Using the about:config is dangerous. You can damage Firefox in a way you cannot repair it after that.
